Rocket League is a popular, competitive, online game that enables everyone to play soccer with high-powered rocket cars (finally). For the past few years I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of this crazy crew as a gamplay programmer for both the American and Chinese versions of the game. I have been involved with building several post launch systems including the Steam Workshop infrastructure, map preference system, online region selection, dynamic loading screens, and much more. I am also helping kick start the company’s first automation effort to ensure the game’s functional and aesthetic consistency. We work heavily with Unreal Engine 3, UnrealScript, C++, C#, Jira, and Perforce.
